A special meeting of the Carter County Commission on Thursday was a brief affair as commissioners tied up loose ends from Monday’s regular meeting.
A quote for multiple heating and A/C units at the Carter County Administration Building was approved after being tabled on Monday. The commission had originally entertained three quotes for the project, but commission president Bill Baker wanted to table to vote until more information about them could be gathered.
Baker said that the lowest quote from Monday was amended to include additional installation services. As a result of the update, ASAP Heat and Air of Southern Oklahoma will do the work on the administration building for $76,920.
The commission also approved monthly appropriations on Thursday. County Clerk Kayelyn Jackson apologized to commissioners for the delay and said she had been out-of-town for a training event ahead of Monday’s regular meeting.
Commissioner Joe David McReynolds was not in attendance Thursday.
