Ardmore voters looking to cast a ballot in municipal elections in April will need to be registered to vote by March 7.
The Ardmore City Schools Board of Education is asking voters to approve a nearly $145 million bond proposal to build a new high school campus around Noble Stadium. School officials say that the current facility, which first opened in 1974, is facing nearly $60 million in repairs to a campus that does not currently have a fire suppression system nor an adequate storm shelter.
Ardmore voters will also have one city commission seat to consider. The Ward 1 seat is currently occupied by Mayor Nancy Sjulin, but Ardmore business-owner Scott Stahl is challenging Sjulin for that seat.
Ardmoreites wishing to cast ballots in the April 1 election must first be registered to vote with the Carter County Election Board. Voters wishing to cast absentee ballots for the April 1 municipal elections will need to request a ballot by March 17. Early voting will be held on March 27 and March 28.
