The first meeting of the Carter County Commission for 2025 saw several public safety items approved. Commissioners approved all items on the Monday agenda, including the first steps in acquiring a new pumper tanker for the Sneed Volunteer Fire Department.

Monday’s meeting also marked the first regular meeting for District 2 Commissioner Owen Longest, who was sworn into office last week.
